Leaving Machu Picchu has been like coming back to the world. All my pictures of this set were taken in just one day spent in Machu Picchu. An unforgettable tiring day so full of emotions! When you take a look of the town from above something magical takes you and there's nothing else than you and the power of great nature! You go away to the past. It's like falling in a kind of trance. Nothing else counts. You feel you could die in a moment but you don't mind because you are like a spirit. Your body is nothing in front of this emotion. You understand what Heaven looks like.
Going down and walking through the (not so) ruined houses is difficult to describe. It seems you've always lived in this place. But at the same time you discover something new at every step. It'so incredible.
After visited the city I went back to the top from where you can see the human face in the mountains. I've been there alone for about three or four hours! Just looking and admiring the landscape.
When I took this I was leaving the site. A strong sadness mixed with a great joy took me. Sadness because I think I'll never see this place again, and joy for having been in a so powerful place.
An experience I will never forget!
I'm glad and proud to share this with all of you my Flickr friends.
I thank you all.
